BlueCaller Privacy Policy

BlueCaller (“BlueCaller,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) provides software tools for contractors and trade businesses, including customer management, quotes, projects, jobs, calendar tools, connections, chat, portfolio profiles, and related services.
This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, how we share it, and the choices you have. It applies to the BlueCaller mobile app, web app, public quote pages, waitlist, and related websites and services, including bluecallerco.com and BlueCaller API services.
1. Who We Are
BlueCaller is operated by BlueCaller LLC, a company based in Utah.

2. Information We Collect
We collect information you provide directly, information generated through your use of BlueCaller, and information received from third-party services you choose to use, such as Google Sign-In or Google Places.
2.1 Account Information
When you create or use a BlueCaller account, we may collect:
- First and last name
- Email address
- Username
- Password, stored as a hashed password
- Internal user ID
- Admin or role status, if applicable
- Login and authentication information
If you sign in with Google, we may receive your name, email address, Google account identifier, and profile image URL. We use this information to create or authenticate your BlueCaller account. We do not store your Google ID token as a long-term access token.
2.2 Profile and Portfolio Information
You may choose to add professional profile information, including:
- Headline
- About/bio
- Skills
- Trades or specialties
- Profile photo
- General business or portfolio location
Some of this profile information may be visible to other authenticated BlueCaller users.
2.3 Location and Address Information
BlueCaller may store addresses and location-related information when you add a profile location, customer address, project address, or quote address. This may include:
- Formatted address
- Street address, city, county, state, country, and postal code
- Latitude and longitude
- Google Place ID
- Place type and other address metadata
BlueCaller does not currently use continuous GPS tracking. Location and address data is generally tied to profile locations, customers, projects, jobs, and quotes that you or another user enter into the app.
2.4 Customer and Client Contact Information
Contractors may enter information about their customers or potential customers, including:
- Customer first and last name
- Email address
- Phone number
- Address
- Associated quotes, projects, jobs, and notes
This is personal information about third parties. If you enter customer information into BlueCaller, you are responsible for having the right to provide that information to us and use it in BlueCaller.
2.5 Quotes, Projects, Jobs, and Business Records
BlueCaller stores business and project information you create in the app, such as:
- Quote titles, summaries, sections, line items, and totals
- Project summaries, internal notes, status, and dates
- Job and task names, descriptions, status, priority, due dates, hours, and costs
- Deposit details
- Quote issue dates, expiration dates, accepted/rejected status, and view timestamps
- Financial amounts, pricing, markup, contingency, overhead, and totals
This information may include personal information if you include names, addresses, phone numbers, emails, or other identifying details in your records.
2.6 Calendar Information
If you use BlueCaller calendar features, we may collect:
- Calendar item title
- Description
- Start and end times
- Time zone
- Creation date
2.7 Connection and Social Information
BlueCaller includes contractor discovery and connection features. We may collect and store:
- Connection requests
- Connected user IDs
- Request and acceptance timestamps
- The user who initiated the connection
Authenticated users may be able to search for and view other users' profile information.
2.8 Chat and Messaging Information
If you use BlueCaller chat or messaging features, we may process:
- Message content
- Sender and recipient information
- Conversation information
- Timestamps
- Message type
- Online/offline or presence status
Do not send sensitive information through chat unless it is necessary for your business use of BlueCaller.
2.9 Profile Photos and Uploaded Files
If you upload a profile photo or other supported file, we may collect:
- The image or file
- Original filename
- File type or asset type
- Storage key and file metadata
- Associated user ID
Profile photos may be shown to other users as part of your BlueCaller profile.
2.10 Waitlist Information
If you join the BlueCaller waitlist, we may collect:
- Email address
- Contractor type or trade category, if provided
- Date and time submitted
We use this information for early access, product updates, and launch-related communication.
2.11 Device, Usage, and Technical Information
We may automatically receive basic technical information when you use BlueCaller, such as:
- IP address
- Browser or device type
- Operating system
- App version
- Log data
- API requests
- Error information
- Authentication and security events
We use this information to operate, secure, debug, and improve BlueCaller.
2.12 Information We Do Not Currently Collect
Based on the current BlueCaller product, we do not currently collect or store:
- Payment card or bank account information
- Government ID numbers
- Date of birth
- Continuous device location tracking
- Advertising identifiers for cross-context behavioral advertising
- Health information
- Social Security numbers
If BlueCaller adds payments, analytics, advertising, or other features later, we will update this Privacy Policy as needed.
3. How We Use Information
We use personal information to:
- Create and manage user accounts
- Authenticate users, including through Google Sign-In
- Provide contractor profile, quote, project, job, calendar, connection, and chat features
- Store customer contacts that contractors enter into BlueCaller
- Generate, send, view, approve, and reject quotes
- Provide public quote links to customers
- Send transactional emails, including quote emails
- Show user profiles, profile photos, and contractor search results
- Provide customer support
- Maintain security and prevent abuse
- Debug, monitor, and improve the app
- Manage internal operations and product planning
- Communicate with waitlist users and interested customers
- Comply with legal obligations
We may also use aggregated or de-identified information to understand product usage and improve BlueCaller. Aggregated or de-identified information does not identify a specific person.
4. Public Quote Links
BlueCaller allows contractors to send public quote links to customers. These links are designed to let a customer view, approve, or deny a quote without creating a BlueCaller account.
Anyone with the quote link may be able to view the quote information available through that public page. Contractors should only send quote links to the intended recipient and should avoid including unnecessary sensitive information in quotes.
Public quote pages may include quote summaries, sections, line items, totals, deposit information, project information, and customer-facing quote details.
5. Information Visible to Other Users
Some information you provide may be visible to other authenticated BlueCaller users, including:
- Name
- Username
- Email address
- Profile photo
- Portfolio headline
- About/bio
- Skills
- Trades or specialties
- Profile location, if provided
- Connection status or connection-related information
Do not add information to your public or searchable profile that you do not want other BlueCaller users to see.
6. How We Share Information
We do not sell personal information.
We may share information in the following ways.
6.1 With Other BlueCaller Users
We may show profile, contact, connection, and messaging information to other users as needed to provide BlueCaller features.
For example, authenticated users may be able to search for contractors and see profile information, including email address and portfolio details.
6.2 With Customers and Non-Users
Contractors may use BlueCaller to send quotes to customers. Quote emails and public quote pages may disclose quote and project information to the customer or anyone with access to the quote link.
6.3 With Service Providers
We use service providers to operate BlueCaller. These providers may process information on our behalf.
Current or expected providers include:

6.4 For Legal, Safety, and Security Reasons
We may disclose information if we believe it is reasonably necessary to:
- Comply with law, legal process, or government requests
- Enforce our terms or policies
- Protect BlueCaller, our users, customers, or the public
- Detect, prevent, or address fraud, security, or technical issues
- Respond to emergencies
6.5 Business Transfers
If BlueCaller is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, sale of assets, or similar transaction, information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to appropriate confidentiality or privacy protections.
7. Third-Party Services
BlueCaller may integrate with or rely on third-party services. Your use of third-party services may also be governed by those third parties' own privacy policies.
For example:
- Google Sign-In is provided by Google.
- Google Places/address data is provided by Google.
- Email delivery may be processed by Amazon Web Services.
- Uploaded images may be stored using Amazon Web Services.
We are not responsible for the privacy practices of third-party websites or services that we do not control.
8. Legal Bases and Business Purposes
Depending on where you live, privacy laws may require us to explain our legal bases or business purposes for processing personal information.
We process information because:
- It is necessary to provide BlueCaller and perform our agreement with you
- It supports our legitimate business interests, such as security, debugging, product improvement, and customer support
- You provided consent, such as when joining a waitlist or using Google Sign-In
- It is necessary to comply with legal obligations
- It is necessary to protect rights, safety, and security
9. Utah Privacy Rights
BlueCaller is based in Utah. The Utah Consumer Privacy Act may apply to certain businesses that meet specific revenue and data-processing thresholds. Even when a privacy law does not apply to every business or every request, we will try to respond reasonably to privacy requests.
Utah residents may have rights to:
- Confirm whether certain personal data is being processed
- Access personal data
- Delete certain personal data
- Obtain a copy of certain personal data
- Opt out of the sale of personal data, if applicable
- Opt out of targeted advertising, if applicable
BlueCaller does not currently sell personal information or use personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.

We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling a request. We may also deny or limit a request where permitted by law, such as when we need to keep information for security, legal compliance, fraud prevention, or legitimate business recordkeeping.
10. Other U.S. State Privacy Rights
Depending on your state of residence, you may have additional privacy rights. These may include the right to access, correct, delete, or obtain a copy of personal information, or to opt out of certain types of data sharing.

We do not currently sell personal information. We also do not currently use personal information for targeted advertising as that term is commonly used under U.S. state privacy laws.
11. Customer Data Entered by Contractors
BlueCaller stores customer and client information that contractors enter into the app. This may include customer names, emails, phone numbers, addresses, quote details, project details, and job information.
For this type of information:
- The contractor is responsible for making sure they have the right to collect and enter the information into BlueCaller.
- BlueCaller processes the information to provide the app features requested by the contractor.
- Customers who receive quote links may contact the contractor directly about the information in a quote.
- Customers may also contact BlueCaller at bluecallerllc@gmail.com, but we may need to refer the request to the contractor who controls the customer relationship.
Contractors should not enter sensitive personal information into BlueCaller unless it is necessary for the quote, project, job, or business purpose.
12. Data Retention
We keep personal information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide BlueCaller, operate our business, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, maintain security, and enforce agreements.
Examples:
- Account information is generally kept while your account is active.
- Quote, project, job, customer, and business records may be kept while needed for contractor business records, legal compliance, dispute resolution, or app functionality.
- Waitlist information may be kept until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it.
- Profile photos are kept until replaced, deleted, or your account is removed, subject to backups and legal retention needs.
- Logs and technical records are kept for security, debugging, and operations for a reasonable period.
If you ask us to delete information, we will take reasonable steps to delete or de-identify information unless we need to keep it for legitimate business, legal, security, or compliance reasons.
13. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect personal information.
Current safeguards may include:
- Password hashing
- JWT-based authentication
- Encrypted token storage in the mobile app
- Role-based admin access controls
- Private file storage
- Short-lived signed URLs for private files
- Request validation and access controls
- Security monitoring and operational logging
No system is perfectly secure. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential and for controlling access to devices where you are logged into BlueCaller.
14. Cookies and Local Storage
BlueCaller's web app may use browser local storage to keep you logged in and store basic user session information, such as your user ID, username, name, email, admin status, and bearer token.
We do not currently use third-party advertising cookies or analytics cookies in the BlueCaller web app based on the current product implementation.
If we add cookies, analytics, or advertising tools later, we will update this Privacy Policy as needed.
15. Mobile App Permissions
The BlueCaller mobile app may request access to device features only when needed for app functionality.
For example:
- Photo or image access may be requested when you upload or update a profile photo.
- Internet access is required for app functionality.
- Google Sign-In may be used if you choose that login method.
BlueCaller does not currently use continuous background location tracking.
16. Email Communications
We may send transactional emails related to the service, including quote emails, account-related messages, and service notices.
If you join the waitlist, we may use your email to send BlueCaller launch, early access, or product update communications. You can request removal from the waitlist by contacting bluecallerllc@gmail.com.
17. Children's Privacy
BlueCaller is intended for contractors, trade businesses, and business users. It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal information to BlueCaller, contact us at bluecallerllc@gmail.com, and we will take reasonable steps to delete the information.
18. International Users
BlueCaller is operated from the United States. If you access BlueCaller from outside the United States, your information may be processed in the United States or other locations where our service providers operate.
By using BlueCaller, you understand that your information may be transferred to and processed in countries that may have different privacy laws than your location.
19. Your Choices and Controls
Depending on your account and the feature, you may be able to:
- View and update your account profile
- Edit your portfolio information
- Replace your profile photo
- Delete certain quotes, calendar items, jobs, connections, or other records
- Choose what information to include in customer records, quotes, projects, jobs, and messages
- Request access, correction, deletion, or a copy of personal information by contacting us

20. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we may notify you by updating the date at the top of this page, posting a notice in the app or on our website, or using another reasonable method.
Your continued use of BlueCaller after an updated Privacy Policy becomes effective means you understand the updated policy.
